3 Ways Blogging Can Boost Your Business

Building a business online can be difficult.  Where do you start?  What steps need to be taken to establish your website?  Then, once you’ve got your website set up you need to think about how you are going to get people to view your site.

Most business owners realize that they need to be blogging on a regular basis to draw visitors to their website to help promote their business.

Some people think that blogs are simply a way to express your own personal views.

However, the reality is that blogs are also great places to reach people where you can share more about your business, your products and/or services.

So how do you start?

There are several ways you can approach blogging in order to get more people to view your website.

One quick way you can use blogging to advance your business is by participating in blogs on other relevant websites. You can easily create ‘mini-posts’ with your business in mind without needing to set up a blog of your own.

What to do is find existing blogs that relate to the area of business you are involved in. Then consider where you can write quality ‘mini-posts’ in the comment section below someone else’s blog posts. With so many blogs on the internet, you should be able to search and find some in your niche quite easily. You can choose to post on all of them or just the websites that get the most visitors. Even after just a short time of you doing this, you should expect to see more traffic coming to your website.

Commenting on other people’s blogs is a way to get a quick name recognition and raise the profile for your business and the products and/or services you offer.

This is a fast way to get you started. When you do your research and find the blogs that relate to your niche, post useful and informative comments where there are topics that relate to your company. You certainly do not want to make it sound like an advertisement but if you are writing up helpful comments then you are likely to interest other readers of the blog to check you out your own website.

This is a subtle but effective way to get the attention of others who are already interested in the subject that relates to your business. You may find that your new site visitors then tell their family and friends about your website and so your audience will grow bigger and bigger. This is a great way to get started and without you having to write your own blog posts. It will take some time but see it as an investment and a cost-effective way to promote your business.  You might want to allocate an hour a day for this task or you could outsource it to a Virtual Assistant.

You should also consider hiring a professional to blog for your business. You might have to provide some initial material so they can work from but it could save you a lot of time or just a way to get this done if it is something that you are not keen on doing yourself.  By outsourcing this task, you get fresh content for your blog site without it taking up your time.

If you start adding blog posts on a regular basis you will start to see an increase in the number of visitors that come to your site.

Posting up testimonials from satisfied customers and clients can have a huge positive impact to give prospective buyers the confidence to buy your products or services.

Relationship Building 

You’ll want to find ways to connect with your visitors and build relationships with them. That way they are more likely to come back to your website again and again.  You can also choose to build relationships with other businesses in your niche via their website.  If you show appreciation for someone else’s website and write constructive and helpful comments then the site owner will notice and be more favourable to you.  One way you can do this is to provide advertising space for each other. For example, you could swap ad space on your websites for no fee and monitor how effective this is.  This is relatively easy to do provding you have a reasonable amount of traffic already coming to your website.

Hopefully, you can see that blogging can be a great way to promote your business. It may seem strange going onto someone else’s website to drive their visitors to your website but if done right then it is a reasonable thing to do. However, the big advantage is that it is in effect, free advertising as you are getting more targetted traffic to your website. Hopefully, some of those people then go on to buy your product or service. This approach is definitely an effective way to boost your business.

If people don’t know how to find you online then you will not get sales from new customers or clients. As you build relationships with your audience they will be more likely to trust you. People do business with those they know, like and trust. When they see positive customer testimonials, they will trust you further and that all adds to the likelihood of increased sales.
